What I offer

Coaching

Coaching provides the opportunity, space and time to think through the things that make us feel stuck, hold us back, or prevent us moving forward.

Like the waymarker post on a path, it is a place to pause, take stock, and reflect; to check you are on the right path and ultimately set out with greater purpose, a clear direction and new resolve. It’s about enabling you to do some brilliant thinking, generate fresh ideas, and gain new perspectives, so that you can step forward with confidence.

It's all about you doing some brilliant thinking.

’"Coaching is a conversation where someone feels heard and gets new insights into their own stuff. It is future focussed and optimistic.”  Claire Pedrick, 3D Coaching

Coaching

Is this you?

  •    Square peg, round hole?
  •     Change needed but don't know how to proceed?
  •    Same question going round and round in your mind?
  •     Putting something off? Stuck?
  •    At a crossroads and unsure of which route to take?
  •    Feeling overwhelmed and burnt out? Too much to do, too few people and too little time?

What sort of situations might I bring to coaching?

Coaching lends itself to any future focussed, positive scenario where you would benefit from thinking it through with someone else, outside of your normal circle of work, family and friends.

Examples include: -

  •      Life transitions and events (retirement, relocation, children moving on)
  •      Considering a return (e.g. after parental leave or extended leave due to  ill health)
  •      Considering a change of role or career
  •      New starts (job, project, life phase, moving home)
  •      Restructuring your team or organisation. Succession planning
  •      Vision and strategy review
  •      Team dynamics; team management

What to expect from coaching

My role as a coach is to be a thought partner, walking alongside, asking pertinent questions, enabling you to think better.

You decide what we will think about.

The coaching conversation starts with what you bring to the session, e.g., the matter uppermost in your mind, or the question that lies unresolved.

Together we will explore what it is you want to think about, to unearth the real heart of the matter and help bring real clarity and focus to our conversation.

The process is designed to enable you to gain further understanding and insight into your own situation, enabling you to identify a next step, possible course of action or simply greater insight into why something is like it is.

When you leave the coaching space, it is highly likely that your thinking will continue.   The coaching conversation is simply a catalyst, intended to transform your thinking and move you forward.

It's all about you.

Coaching Options

Coaching Online

Coaching in the main is offered online (60mins). How many times we meet is up to you. This might be a ‘one off’ or a series of several sessions.

Coaching Outside

If you live locally to me in North London, you may wish to consider a coaching conversation in the open air, known as Blue Sky Thinking

Blue Sky Thinking - Coaching Outside

If you are based in and around North London, within easy reach of Enfield, then you may prefer a coaching conversation in the open air.

Sometimes it is good to change our view, change the environment or literally get up and move, in order to bring about fresh thinking, new ideas, and new insights.

Some of us also respond well to fresh air, being outside, and the proximity to nature to bring out the best in us.

These sessions are held in the beautiful surroundings of Forty Hall . A gentle, circular walk, passing through gardens, parkland, and woods is intended to get the creative juices flowing and enable some ‘blue sky thinking’. The paths are easy and well laid; suited to trainers/walking shoes.

Allow 1 hour  to 1 hour 10 mins for this session. If walking we will aim to walk for approximately 1 hour, but this may vary dependent on pace and how much we stop along the way.  If you aren’t in a hurry to move on after the session there are lots of beautiful spaces to sit, capture your thoughts, grab a drink and further reflect on your own.

If it is more about being outside and less about walking that grabs you, then we can find a quiet spot and a comfortable bench for all or part of our coaching conversation.
