Ethics, Terms and Conditions

1.    Coaching is normally on a 1-2-1 basis.

2.   Coaching sessions are normally one hour, or one hour 15 minutes, unless specifically agreed otherwise. This will be discussed and agreed at the initial meeting.

3.    Please arrive 2 minutes early and ensure you are ready to begin on time so we can make a good start together. This is to respect each other’s time and to ensure we do some good work.

4.    CONFIDENTIALITY

a. Any conversation will remain confidential to me (the coach)unless you disclose an illegal activity or there is a risk to yourself, to others or by others. This means that I do not share information back to your organisation.

b. I will not pass on personal information to anyone outside Waymarker Coaching unless any or all of these apply.

                   i.    You give express consent to disclose information.

                   ii.    I (the coach) believes that you or a third party is in serious danger

                   iii.   I (the coach) would be liable to civil or criminal court procedure if the                     information was not disclosed

c. In all cases, you will be encouraged to pass on the information to the relevant person or agency yourself. In line with professional requirements, I (the coach) may discuss matters arising during the coaching session with a supervisor external to Waymarker Coaching. In this process, your anonymity is maintained.

d. If your organisation sponsors the work (ie pays for your coaching session), I abide by their safeguarding policy.

5.    PAYMENT

a. Payment should be made within 10 working days of receipt of invoice.

b. Payment can only be made by online banking. Please refer to the invoice for details.

6.    CANCELLATION

a. For 1-1 coaching sessions you need to give us 48 hours’ notice unless it is a real emergency.  Failure to do so may incur a charge. Please email ros@waymarkercoaching.co.uk

7.    YOUR DATA

a. All your data is held securely and privately online or in a lockable filing cabinet.

b. I only hold the information you provide. Usually this is details like name, phone number and email address.

c. I won’t tell anyone that I am working with you.

d. To satisfy the ICF requirement for logging coaching hours, for coaching accreditation purposes only, please note that I will keep a record of your name, the date & duration of our coaching session and your email address for as long as necessary to satisfy this requirement. I will bring this to your attention in our initial meeting.

e. I keep minimal records for 6 years to say that you have received coaching from me. If you would like me to delete records (except financial records for accounting purposes; ICF coaching log records see d. above) sooner, then please let me know and I will happily do that.

8.    ETHICS

a. Waymarker Coaching adheres to the ethics and standards of behaviours of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Review the ICF Code of Ethics

9.    Payment for sessions indicates that terms and conditions are agreed and will be adhered to.
